Today, my office had its annual Thanksgiving day potluck dinner. Everyone brought yummy food, and we all ate and drank and were merry.
I. Ate. TOO. Much. Fooooooooood.
Ugh. Want to go lie down now.
Conversation from a few minutes ago:
eloren: At least there was no turkey. Then we really wouldn’t be able to stay awake.
autographedcat: Yeah. Although, Tryptophan Coma would be a good name for a band….

A band that played slow ballads accompanied by strings with digitally enhanced reverb, no doubt.

They’d never make it all the way through a gig.

That was much the thought I was having! I had this sort of “Spinal Tap” vision.
Heh. I wish I could magically endow with millions of dollars some of which he could use to start many many bands. The only caveat would be that at least one of those has to include Ed and Me! 😉

Funny how ideas suddenly appear in more than one place at a time. I’d never heard about turkey being high in tryptophan or tryptophan making you sleepy until this evening, but because of a conversation earlier this evening, I know what you’re talking about here. As I said there, I have no idea if there’s any truth to it, but in the name of science, I’ll volunteer to eat lots of turkey and see if I get sleepy. Just don’t ask me to be the control who eats the tofu turkey.
