  1. I like a lot of your list, too.

Heck, I RECOGNIZE more of the ones on your list than mine — probably because I was listening to more radio in 88 than 94.

  2. gods, i loved groovy kind of love, don’t worry be happy and angel. still like them, in fact.

sigh, I’ll go hide my head in shame now… lol.

    • No need for that. There are songs I put in bold that I’m sure have people shaking their heads. 🙂

To be honest, my problem with Collins isn’t that he’s *bad*, it’s just that it seems he got very very popular and turned….bland. I want him to put out material better than that because I know he’s capable of it.

  3. Oh god I love Bobby McFerrin, and I loved his version of Blackbird (on that same first album of his which I have), and I even liked “Don’t Worry Be Happy” (which of course is intended to be black humor but people took at surface value sigh). But I can see how one did get sick of it. It got a LOT of (inappropriate) play.

You don’t like Rod Stewart’s cover of “Forever Young?”

    Me neither. (grin)

I *adore* the Bangles cover of “Hazy Shade of Winter”.

You graduated from High School in 88??? Or college?

    • I love Bobby McFerrin, but I could stand never to hear that song again. (I know how he intended it, but it wasn’t taken that way and it was *way* overplayed).

I graduated from High School in 1988. I’m just a young’n, hon. Can you love me anyway? 😉
