I like a lot of your list, too.
Heck, I RECOGNIZE more of the ones on your list than mine — probably because I was listening to more radio in 88 than 94.

gods, i loved groovy kind of love, don’t worry be happy and angel. still like them, in fact.
sigh, I’ll go hide my head in shame now… lol.
Rob Wynne
No need for that. There are songs I put in bold that I’m sure have people shaking their heads. 🙂
To be honest, my problem with Collins isn’t that he’s *bad*, it’s just that it seems he got very very popular and turned….bland. I want him to put out material better than that because I know he’s capable of it.

Oh god I love Bobby McFerrin, and I loved his version of Blackbird (on that same first album of his which I have), and I even liked “Don’t Worry Be Happy” (which of course is intended to be black humor but people took at surface value sigh). But I can see how one did get sick of it. It got a LOT of (inappropriate) play.
You don’t like Rod Stewart’s cover of “Forever Young?”
Me neither. (grin)
I *adore* the Bangles cover of “Hazy Shade of Winter”.
You graduated from High School in 88??? Or college?
Rob Wynne
I love Bobby McFerrin, but I could stand never to hear that song again. (I know how he intended it, but it wasn’t taken that way and it was *way* overplayed).
I graduated from High School in 1988. I’m just a young’n, hon. Can you love me anyway? 😉
folkmew
Sure… I can love a younger man… more energy that way. (grin)
