1. PAPER OR PLASTIC?
I used to prefer paper, because I could reuse the paper bags for various things. But these days, I just take the plastic.
2. PEPSI OR COKE?
Pepsi. I’m trying to give it up all together, though. And in truth, I’d rather have an RC over either of them.
3. VANILLA OR CHOCOLATE?
Chocolate. Yum.
4. LIGHT CHOCOLATE OR DARK CHOCOLATE?
Dark chocolate truffles.
5. POTATOES OR FRIES?
Something else I’m trying to quit. Good crisp seasoned fries with feta cheese dressing for dipping.
5A. MASHED POTATOS OR BAKED?
Baked and loaded. If you’re going to be unhealthy with the starches, may as well load up with the bacon, butter and sour cream too.
6. HOTDOGS OR BURGERS?
Burgers. With cheese.
7. BACON OR SAUSAGE?
Oooh, touch choice. Good link sausages, spicy with maple syrup poured on them.
8. COUNTRY OR ROCK?
Definitely Rock, although I like an awful lot of old country music, and more folky singer-songwriter stuff than either. My tastes in music is very eclectic.
9. CATS OR DOGS?
Cats. I like dogs well enough, but I’ve never actually wanted one for a pet. They require a lot more constant looking after than I’m willing to do. (I’m lazy.)
10. TRAIN OR PLANE?
If I have time, I love trains. Sadly, in this country there’s few places one can get to on a train, and I often don’t have the time to go the few places the trains DO go.
11. SALT OR PEPPER?
Depends entirely on the dish. There are some things that require one or the other or both.
12. PIE OR CAKE?
Both are good, and again it depends on what’s being offered. Pecan pie done well is a goodness, and I’m also very fond of fruit cobblers. (Aside to kitanzi: We need to make at least one cobbler before we start to diet again!)
13. HEELS OR FLATS?
Flats. I can rarely find heels in my size.
14. BLONDE OR BRUNETTE?
Yes, and redhead too.
15. VHS OR DVD?
DVD. Unless there’s something specific that I want that just ain’t available on DVD, I don’t see any reason to buy a VHS tape anymore.
16. CHILDREN OR PETS?
Pets. I love children, really I do, and others can vouchsafe that I’m a good uncle and a good babysitter, but I don’t especially want to have children of my own.
17. ON TOP OR BOTTOM?
Good start. And then after that, we’ll…….
18. SUNLIGHT OR MOONLIGHT?
Moonlight. There’s something just wonderfully soft and fey about being out in the middle of a meadow with nothing surrounding you but the moon and the stars and the soft grass.
19. SUMMER OR WINTER?
Autumn! Summer and winter are actually my two least favourite seasons. Summer in Georgia is just brutal, and winter is dreary without ever really being wintry. (And yes, I know all the Yanks will tell me that the snow gets to be a pain in the ass after a while, but still, I’d rather have some of it than none at all).
But autumn is lovely, when the air starts to get a little crisp and the leaves start to turn. It’s really a magical time of year.
20. RAIN OR SUN?
If it’s warm enough, rain. I like walking in the rain in the summer….there’s something refreshing about it.
21. MOUNTAINS OR BEACH?
Beach. I love the mountains, and I nearly live in them, but I grew up near the coast and I love the sound of surf pounding the shore.
22. TV OR BOOKS?
Books. I could probably live without TV, but I can’t live without books.
“Even when reading is impossible, the presence of books acquired (by
passionate devotion to them) produces such an ecstasy that the buying
of more books than one can peradventure read is nothing less than the
soul reaching towards infinity … we cherish books even if unread,
their mere presence exudes comfort, their ready access, reassurance.”
–A.E. Newton
23. MAKE UP OR AU NATUREL?
Au naturel. I generally prefer girls who don’t wear it, as well.
24. HOME COOKING OR DINNER OUT?
Dinner out should be done just rarely enough that it’s always a special treat. Besides, who can afford it?
25. MCDONALD’S OR WENDY’S?
Ugh. Wendy’s, if I must, but I can think of hundreds of places I’d rather eat than either of these places.
26. CARTOONS OR LIVE ACTION?
Um, again, it depends. I like a lot of cartoons, and I like a lot of live action. Depends on what’s being done with it, and the mood I’m in.
27. CARS: FOREIGN OR AMERICAN?
Sad to say, foreign cars tend to be more reliable and better values. Of course, I’m driving a Ford, but my next car will probably be foreign.
28. CARS: MANUAL OR AUTOMATIC?
Automatic. I actually don’t know how to drive a stick. I’m sure I could learn it if I needed to, but I’ve never owned one, so I don’t actually have any experience with them.
29. FOOD: JAPANESE OR CHINESE?
Japanese. I adore Japanese food, and eat it whenever I can. I don’t care if it’s authentic, or the cool floor show cooked in front of you while setting random bits of it on fire places. It’s all good.
30. WINE OR BEER?
Whisky.

Embrace the power of “and” …
I thought about swiping this one for about 10 seconds and then realized that I’d answer 27 of them “both, depending on the circumstances”.
All that’s left:
2. Neither. Don’t care for sodas.
9. Cats.
22. Books.

Hey, I like syrup on my sausages too! Everyone always says “ewwww!”

1. PAPER OR PLASTIC?
That depends, doesn’t it? Paper makes lousy condoms.
:O)
