- The Human Rights Campaign, an LGBT advocacy organization, offers a free buyers guide, rating various companies on their policies with regards to LGBT issues..

Great pics from ZeFrank -- but what is the significance of “52” and “48”? I had thought it meant the percentages of voters who voted for Obama and McCain, respectively, but the messages in the pics seem to contradict that notion in spots.

Thanks for the explanatory links…but the cynic in me wonders whether we’d be seeing all this magnanimous “reaching out” imagery if McCain had won, or if we’d just have a repeat of SorryEverybody.com instead.

I really got confused by “52” and “48” too, and Rob’s links didn’t clarify that for me. (For the record, to the nearest percentage point, Obama won 53% of the popular vote, McCain 46%, and 1% other.)

The article you mention is about the roots of modern conservatism. The Republican Party is much older than either McCarthy or Goldwater.
